Coming soon: peach jam and more catnip toys

Shan is donating slightly under-ripe, less than beautiful peaches from the farmers market to the Co-op. These are the most desirable for preserves, as they contain more pectin.  Thanks so much Shan, we have not had the stone fruit this year from our own Co-op gardens, so this is very welcome.

Also, for all you cat people (and I just might lead the pack in this category!), more catnip toys will be in the basket Friday.  Nora, Linda and I are getting together to sew and stuff catnip toys.  We will be making enough to donate some to Nora’s cat Sweetie’s shelter, and if you have a cat shelter close to your heart, please let us know and we will set some aside for that one as well.  ImageImageThe Co-op hearts kitties!  (As well as birds, dogs, lizards, fish, pigs- I could go on.)
