Rangpur lime marmalade and new ‘Vanilla Tango’ debut

Today Linda, Marina and I made Rangpur Lime Marmalade as well as a new one, ‘Vanilla Tango’, a mixed citrus marmalade flavored with whole vanilla beans.  Lee had dropped off a couple of her delish marmalade surprise cupcakes to fuel our efforts.  The limes (actually a cross between a lemon and a Mandarin orange) were donated by Gail, and this was the first time I had ever seen them.  They were terrific to work with, and the full recipe and instructions will be on the recipe tab soon.  Since there were half a dozen oranges, a couple of Madge’s grapefruits, one Meyer lemon and another lemon in the Co-op basket, these were cooked together for a mixed marmalade, with the mellowing addition of a couple of whole vanilla beans.  Why tango? Because they all dance so well with each other!  Try this one with what you have on hand, you’ll find the recipe on the tab.
