We are starting our own Co-op seed library, but meanwhile

here is a resource that is on the ‘links’ tab, and Jackie G and I wanted you to know about it.

http://www.SLOLA.org    seed library of Los Angeles  lifetime membership of $10 entitles you to no-cost seeds that do well in our region

It is the Seed Library of Los Angeles, and for a very nominal fee you can join and get seeds for plants that do well in our region.   I met some people from SLOLA when I went to the Good Food Conference in Santa Monica last year, representing our Co-op.  Members save a few of  seeds from the harvest, and give them back to the Seed Library.  The Co-op has a small seed library started, with pepper seeds, orange seeds from Mimi’s tree, and some Fuyu persimmon seeds in the box.  Now that we are making pickles, we will want to save some dill seeds to share with other members of the Co-op.
