Drought tolerant native plants, mix them in

Some Co-op members do have more areas in their gardens that are less hospitable to fruit trees and other produce-producing plants.  And by less hospitable, that would be dry, and probably quite rocky.  Take a look at my friend Tim’s site for some ideas on introducing native plants into your garden. These hardy natives control soil erosion, attract beneficial bees and birds, and can add splashes of seasonal color from subtle blue to fiery crimson. And who can resist that buttery golden yellow of a California poppy?
